Let's make a list.

Someone to mow the lawn, take the rubbish bins out, and take the lids off jam jars. Sex. Someone to pay the mortgage or rent. Emotional support at the end of a hard day. A warm body in bed. An entire class of people that builds houses, roads, schools and hospitals. A balancing force in the workplace against backbiting and bitchiness. A strong adult male influence in their children's lives.
